Terms of Use

The terms for using Lumio and lumiolauncher.com.

Draft prepared September 16, 2026 · Pending operator confirmation

1. About these terms

These terms are intended to govern your use of Lumio: Flashlight & Tools and lumiolauncher.com, provided by Lumio. Once finalized and made effective, they will apply to your use of the service, subject to any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If you do not agree to the effective terms, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and permitted use

You must be legally able to agree to these terms or have any consent required from a parent or guardian. Subject to these terms, Lumio grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for lawful personal purposes on devices you own or are authorized to use.

You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, use it unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights, or bypass security measures. These restrictions do not limit rights expressly permitted by applicable law, including applicable interoperability or accessibility rights.

3. Features and device compatibility

Lumio provides flashlight modes, screen light, a compass, wallpapers, a weather and clock widget, and an optional launcher. Availability and behavior depend on your device hardware, Android version, permissions, and connectivity. LED brightness controls may not be supported on every device.

Using Lumio as your default home app is optional. You can choose or change your default launcher through Android settings. Weather and web searches require connectivity; network charges may apply.

4. Safe use

Use light and strobe features responsibly. Do not shine bright light into eyes or use flashing light around people who may be sensitive to it. Extended use may increase battery consumption and device temperature; stop use if your device becomes excessively warm.

The SOS mode produces a light signal. It does not contact emergency services, transmit your location, or guarantee assistance. The compass and weather features are for general convenience and must not be your sole source of navigation or safety information. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service.

5. Third-party services

Weather, web search, distribution platforms, and other linked services may be operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. Lumio cannot guarantee the accuracy, availability, or continued operation of third-party information or services. Any additional providers integrated into the released app must be disclosed in the final privacy policy.

6. Price and purchases

Current product materials describe Lumio as free to use. This draft does not establish any subscription or paid purchase. If paid features are introduced, their price, payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms must be disclosed before purchase. Applicable platform rules and mandatory consumer rights remain in effect.

7. Intellectual property

Lumio’s name, branding, app design, and original content belong to their respective rights holders. Permission to use the app does not transfer ownership. Third-party components remain subject to their applicable licenses.

8. Privacy

Information about data handling will be provided in the finalized Privacy Policy and applicable in-app notices. These terms do not constitute consent to optional personal-data processing.

9. Availability and warranties

We aim to provide a useful service, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Nothing in these terms excludes any statutory warranty or consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lumio is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury where such liability cannot be limited, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Ending use and service changes

You may stop using Lumio at any time, change your default launcher, and uninstall the app. We may update or discontinue features or restrict misuse, subject to applicable law and any required notice. Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

12. Changes and applicable law

The effective date will be updated when these terms change. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. The operator’s jurisdiction and any dispute-resolution terms must be confirmed before these terms take effect. Mandatory protections available to consumers in their place of residence remain unaffected.

13. Contact Lumio

The operator’s verified contact email and full legal details will be added before these terms take effect.
